Burton D. Minor, Incorporator
Burton D. Minor is a founder of the Citizen Participation Institute. Involved in many other diverse interests that consume his time, he is not active in the continuing functions of the Institute.
LtCol. Minor is a retired career United States Air Force officer with over 35 years experience as a top executive and manager with a strong track record of cultivating business relationships in the public, private and governmental sectors.
Many relationships with community organizations arise from his former position as Administrative Manager at the McCormick Tribune Foundation (1994-1998).
He is also a former elected Alderman and BSA Scoutmaster in his community. His local Republican organization has elected his as its Chairman. He served as a member of the Presidential Honor Guard at the White House for four years.
Among his business interests is ownership and operation of Lakeview Management and Construction Inc., making use of his expertise in construction and retail businesses gained from previous employment as a regional manager for (at different times) two national home improvement superstore chains.
His rise-from-the ranks military career includes:
